Welding Heat Sink

 

 

Welding heat sink is a heat dissipation product produced by welding process as the main process.

 

 

 

 

From the bottom plate and fins of the welding heat sink, combined with the two most commonly used materials of copper and aluminum, according to the welding combination method, it can be divided into the following four categories:

 

The first category, aluminum fins + aluminum bottom plate are welded together to form an all-aluminum welded heat sink. The all-aluminum welded heat sink has several characteristics:
(1)High density of gear fins;
(2) The weight of the heat sink light. In addition, its heat dissipation effect has also been improved, because the heat dissipation effect of the heat sink is proportional to the heat dissipation area under certain working conditions. The larger the heat dissipation area, the better the heat dissipation effect. Therefore, the density of the tooth piece increases, thereby increasing the heat dissipation area, so its heat dissipation effect is improved.

 

 

The second type, copper base plate + copper fins welded together can form a pure copper heat sink. The thermal conductivity K value of copper is more than twice that of aluminum, so its heat transfer performance will be better. In the heat dissipation problem that is difficult to solve with aluminum, you can choose to use copper to solve it. However, pure copper heat sinks have some disadvantages. For example, the hardness of copper is relatively low, the weight of copper is relatively heavy, the density is more than twice that of aluminum, and the price is more than twice that of aluminum.

 

 

The third category, aluminum fins + copper bottom plate can be welded into a welded heat sink with copper bottom plate and aluminum tooth fins. The characteristic of this type of heat sink is that it takes into account the good heat transfer and temperature uniformity of copper and the weight of aluminum is relatively light, and the cost is relatively low. Lower, better bonding strength.
