Engineered for Efficiency: High-Density Cooling Solutions with 18 Years of Expertise
Skived fin heatsink use a single block of material such as copper or aluminum and cut out fins with high density, High fins, extra-long heat sink structure by the dedicated skiving machine using high skiving precision cutting technology, skived fin heatsink breaks through the limitation of the thickness and length ratio of conventional heat sinks and can produce high density heat sink. The fins and the base is "one piece". So skived fin heat sink efficiency is two times than traditional heat sink due to the skived heat sink without any connection, and high purity materials. Thermal conductivity efficiency can reach 100% of the profile material. ZP skived heat sink widely used in photovoltaic industry, electric vehicles, inverters, communication products, led light in green house and so on.

Generally made of pure aluminum, thermal conductivity is higher than aluminum alloy, and with skiving technology, heat dissipation performance is more stable than aluminum extrusion heat sink. ZP aluminum skived heat sink widely used in photovoltaic industry, electric vehicles, inverters, led lights ,communication products and so on.

Copper thermal conductivity is good, plus the skived fin technology can achieve the maximum heat dissipation area per unit volume, greatly improve the overall heat dissipation performance. So ZP copper skived fin heat sink is used in high end chip, cpu heat dissipation, server and other fields.

Our skiving process achieves fins as thin as 0.2mm with spacing down to 0.8mm – 40% denser than traditional extrusion. This creates 15% larger surface area for heat dissipation, proven to reduce thermal resistance by 0.15°C/W in IGBT applications.

Customize baseplate thickness (1-15mm), fin height (5-80mm), and surface treatments (anodizing/Ni plating) to match your exact requirements.

1. Skived heatsink can be an alternative to extruded heat sink when looking for a fin density which can't be achieved by extrusion technology.
2. Skived heatsink fabrication does not need expensive tooling which provides greater design flexibility. Instead, each fin is cut separately using the same tool which allows for lower tooling costs.
3. Skiving heat sink can be made of copper and aluminum, enables solid copper solutions. The skiving process is a good thermal solution for high power cooling.
4. Skived heat sink leading the heat innovation innovation high density ,high thermal performance, high aspect ratio, excellent performance.
5. Skived heat sink without interface joint between the fins and base, improved thermal performance than traditional heat sink.
The manufacturing of skived heatsink needs mature skived fin production technology, advanced large skived fin machine tools and technical cooperation from engineers. The specific production process is as follows:
Customize the suitable profile according to the skived heat sink design size, and then put the profile on the skived fin machine in the correct operation mode.
Set the parameters of the skived fin machine, and input the data of the skived fin needed to be produced, such as the data of fin spacing, fin height and fin thickness.
Start the skived fin machine, and the engineer monitor the machine, check the semi-finished products to see whether they meet the data requirements, and make abnormal adjustment.

Cut semi-finished skived heat sink into the specified design size.
Processed the cut semi-finished skived heat sink, deburring, tapping, etc.
If there is buried heat pipe design in the design drawing, grooving, pressure the heat pipe, epoxy resin welding and other processing processes should be carried out on the back of the skived heatsink.
